Now that spring is here, I think it's important to address something. I want to apologize to anyone over the past several weeks that I might have come off as "snippy" or "irritated" or answered with short, vaguely negative sounding replies. The good news is, it isn't you. The better news is, it isn't me either. Or at least, it's nothing happening in my life to cause it.
See, I'm starting to notice a pattern. Both last year and this year I started feeling really miserable starting sometime around mid-January and it lasting into springtime. Last year I thought it was a fluke, but it happening again this year though makes me think I might have that seasonal affected disorder that a lot of people have* (why is is so funny to me that the acronym for that is "sad"? ). If I get miserable again next January I think we can call it official, but since it's a pretty common ailment, it does seem likely.
All that said, I really did try to keep from letting it affect my online interactions, but after posting a reply to someone I would look back at it sometimes and think "wow, that sounded kind of aggressive/passive-aggressive/disinterested/annoyed, that wasn't what I intended." So I wanted to mention it on the off chance that anyone thought I was irritated with them. Nope! There's also nothing going wrong for me IRL. Life's pretty good! I was just feeling generally off and it translated into how I replied to people sometimes. Sorry about that, but hey! Spring's here! Things are looking up! I have SO MANY ALLERGIES to get excited for!
On the plus side, I've been doing some actual spring cleaning and now I've got all my Barenaked Ladies albums copied to my computer. Nothing cures what ails you like BNL**!
To add a little fun to this post, here's a meme!
Comment and I will:
(1) Tell you something I learned about you by looking at your DA page.
(2) Tell you a color you remind me of.
(3) Tell you what element I believe you belong to (e.g. water, fire, air, etc.).
(4) Tell you which one of your OC's is my favorite (if you have one).
(5) Ask you a question, and you must answer.
(6) Tell you something I like about you or your art.
(7) Give you a nickname.
(8) Tell you what am I doing right now.
(9) Tell you what food/ flavor/smell you remind me of.
(10) Tell you to do this in your journal too, if you haven't already. You know me, do it if you want to, if not?
*So, I grow up and live for decades in upstate New York, where 3 feet of snow is just a normal Tuesday. Then I move south to Maryland where it snows an inch and everything shuts down, and NOW I'm getting this? WTF, brain?!
**Except for "The Flag" and "War on Drugs"...those are just depressing.

Comic Website Down
My website for my comics is currently down. There seems to be some kind of back-end error with the PHP that I thought I fixed, but it doesn't seem to be changing anything. I'm not sure, I don't know much about websites or programming beyond very basic HTML, so it'll probably take me a little while to fix (if I even can). IN THE MEANTIME, I don't intend to slow down updating. All three comics will post on Monday as normal over at The Duck. So if you're looking for updates, they can currently be found at the links below: Sorry for the inconvenience. I'll try to figure it out, but yeah, the comics will continue to update as normal. Thanks for reading!
COMIC GIVEAWAY!
So I've decided to stop going to conventions, but this decision leaves me with a lot of leftover merchandise that is just taking up a lot of space. I spent money to have them made so I don't want to just throw them away. I thought about selling them through my sites, but I didn't think I would get rid of many that way. Then I thought about giving them away while asking for people to pay shipping, but that's still asking people to buy them in a way, and I still probably wouldn't be able to get rid of too many. So that leads to the obvious answer: I'm just going to give them away. Make a request of the available items and they're yours (1 copy of each item per person. Not to limit supply, but to lower the shipping costs on my end somewhat...I can't imagine anyone would want more than one anyway, haha! ^^; ) What do I have to give away? Well, there's Volumes 1 through 4 of the original Twisted Mirrors. It's a much older series with a lot of flaws. The main benefit of this one is
Looking for New Reads?
So, I like telling stories. I guess at the end of the day, that's all there is to it. I know I'm not very good at it, but it's what brings me joy, so I do it anyway. I suppose we've all had a bit of extra time over the past year, so I used mine to create some additional stories. And now I'm posting them online so if you're bored and looking for something to read I've got some options for you. Bear in mind that all of these stories were written by me, they're amateur stuff and this is all just for fun. :D The links to and descriptions of the stories are below. After each description, I'll babble a bit about each project, so if you just want to see a quick couple of lines on what each story is about, just read the first paragraph and skip the rest. (Also, my deepest apologies that I'm not very good at writing a synopsis.) DA or Wattpad?
So I finished the second draft of a story I've been working on today. There's still a lot that needs to be done, I need to go through it for a third draft and cleans up bits of it. Hell, the damn thing still need a title. But I don't foresee the third draft taking nearly as long as the second draft. I don't necessarily know the "proper" way to go about it, I'm not a writer, but to put it in drawing terms the first draft was a sketch, the second draft is the base drawing and the third draft will clean up the details, so I don't think it will take nearly as much as the first two rounds. So I'm starting to think about where I can possibly post it. I'm not very good, so I'm not interested in looking into anything professional. I just want to be able to share this silly fantasy adventure that I wrote. So my question (finally!) is where should I post it? I've been told Wattpad is good for posting prose stories, but I've also heard that in more recent years it's gone kinda to crap. Does

well this is a very late response, but it does sound like SAD (and I wonder if they named it JUST so they could shorten it to that). I'm no expert so I can't say for certain, and most people I know with it (myself included) usually end up on the melancholy side more than the snippy side. But I've always understood it to be a seasonal depression, and sometimes that manifests itself as irritation. I don't know how much you know about SAD, but my doctor recommended I get a daylight lamp to use daily when the weather is crappy out. I can't tell you if it really works or not, but on blizzardy or rainy days, 30 minutes under a light bright like the sun usually perks me up a bit. Not everyone likes living in bright light, but I'm the kind of person that loves sunlight.
hope you're feeling better now. You might want to try keeping a mood log next time winter hits. Whether you write a big journal entry, or just point form how you feel, and maybe whether you've had an physical or mental exercise, if you've eaten well or not, etc.
