The idea was to have the characters actually DRESSED as the other characters rather than just make them the same. So you really needed to see the costume-ness of it

For Ry, he's wearing costume pants, boots, and cloak. The wings and half his hair have been dyed white (but it's cheap dye, so the red shows through a bit ) The skeleton hand is a glove. The skeleton ribs and human chest are a shirt (because I imagine that's easier than just trying to do half) which I imagine has the costume shirt underneath and the prop bracers over top of that. A skull mask was cut in half and tied to his head with black make-up around his eye. A prop scythe in his hands. (I've never drawn him with his hair down...it'd have to be longer than that, but you'll just have to pretend for this pic )

With Katyn, the clothes are straightforward with plastic ear-tips and horns on a headband. The tail is attached around her waist and the wings are attached UNDER the coat (which is cut in the back, they'd be too heavy to attach directly to the coat) WHOO! Cross-play!

For Chaerius, his fur is dyed the green and tan (the same cheap dye the Ry used, but the black doesn't show through as well as the red, but if you look, you can see it) Green fluff tied around his tail and goggles with horns attached on his head. You can't see it because he's behind Katyn, but he's also wearing a little kitty leather jacket . Those purple eyes look FABULOUS against the green

The coloring's a little choppy, but that was intentional, I'm playing with trying to get a more painterly look. I haven't arrived there yet, but I like the results. Sadly, though, since I'm not there yet, it just looks sloppy. Forgive me?

It was kinda fun planning a character cosplay. I may have to do this again next year! (you always see characters as other characters, but this was fun to plan actual COSTUMES - "how would it all really work?" )
