.Hack Divergence Design 1

Oh my God...I did it...I swore I never would...and I did...

...it's....ANIME-STYLE!!!! AAAAAHHHHHH! *dies*

Yeh, there was a T-shirt design contest over at an online RP game my sister's involved in that's based off of the .Hack universe, and I thought I'd give it a try. Only, I know the .Hack universe has a pretty specific style since I've seen .Hack//Sign...and Liminality...and the games (Outbreak, Infection, Mutation, and Quarantine)...and I've been reading Legend of the Twilight...so yeah, I had a rough idea of how things in The World should look...and my style was defenitely NOT IT.
So here we are...a guy twin-blade and my first piece of art EVER done in anime-style.

So will I be drawing like this from now on?

No.
Defenitely No.
Positively No!
Decidedly No!
uh-uh.

Don't get me wrong, it's not that I dislike anime or manga...in fact I very much love the way it looks. But my view of it has always been that it's not my style, and unless I have a reason too, I'm not going to screw it up. I'd rather spend my time trying to develop my own, different style, than copy somebody elses. And this isn't anything against people who draw that way! I mean it, I love the style, it's just not for me!

But enough of all that, here it is. I hopes ya like it. The design I'm submitting to the contest is actually WITHOUT the shading, since the shading wouldn't print very well...but I wanted to experiment with it, and I thought it looked nice, so I posted this on DA. *laugh* There's a second one too, a female, I'll post right after this.

((as a side-note, I'll do a free fan-art for anyone who knows where the "no" quote above comes from. I offer this since I doubt anyone knows, but if you do, then you are awesome and thus deserving of fan-arts))
